Arenza ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Arenza mobile application and website (the "Service"). The Service is a competitive pickup basketball platform that helps users find and organize local basketball games, track player performance, and connect with other players.

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service. We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with applicable data protection laws, including the Apple App Store privacy requirements and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in this policy. If you do not agree with these practices, please do not use the Service.

We collect information to provide, improve, and secure our Service. The types of information we collect include:

• •Chat & Communication Data: Messages you send in global or game-specific chats.
• •Social Data: Friend requests, player reviews, and complaints you submit or receive.
• •Device & Usage Data: Device identifiers, operating system, app version, usage statistics, and crash reports.
• •Location Data: GPS coordinates collected only when you voluntarily check in to a game at a court, used solely to verify your physical presence.

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• •To create and manage your account and authenticate your identity.
• •To display your profile, stats, rank, and game history to other players.
• •To organize and balance competitive games using ELO-based matchmaking and team balancing.
• •To verify player check-ins at court locations using GPS data, enforce fair play, and prevent no-shows.
• •To detect and prevent cheating, collusion, ELO farming, and other abusive behavior.
• •To facilitate in-app communication via chat and friend features.
• •To send you notifications and reminders about upcoming games.
• •To maintain the integrity of leaderboards and player reviews.
• •To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:

• •With Other Users: Your display name, profile picture, rank, ELO, and game participation are visible to other players within the app.
• •Service Providers: Third-party vendors who assist with hosting, authentication, analytics, and crash reporting, under contracts that require them to protect your data.
• •Legal Compliance: When required by law, court order, or government regulation, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or others.
• •Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, provided the recipient agrees to honor this Privacy Policy.

Location data is collected only when you actively check in to a game at a court. We use this data exclusively to verify that you are physically present at the court for game integrity and anti-cheat purposes. Location data is not used for advertising, sold to third parties, or tracked continuously in the background. You can decline to check in, though this may affect your ability to participate in ranked games.

We retain your account and activity data for as long as your account is active. Game records, chat messages, reviews, and complaint records may be retained after account deletion to preserve competitive integrity and dispute resolution records. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time through the in-app account deletion feature.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• •Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• •Deletion: Request deletion of your account and personal data. You can do this directly in the app under Profile → Danger Zone → Delete Account.
• •Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• •Opt-Out: Request that we not sell or share your personal information (we do not sell it regardless).
• •Withdraw Consent: Disable location check-ins or revoke permissions in your device settings at any time.
• •To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in Section 11.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encrypted data transmission, secure authentication, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Our Service is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated policy within the app or on our website and updating the "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
